Hey Alex, for someone who's been around Head-Fi for 4yrs you're still sitting on a pretty high horse. So how about you hop down and give the guy a break? Clearly English is not his first language and I'm betting he speaks better Thai than you or I do

Are the military following the royal family, or the prime minister? CNN's story isn't very clear (at least to me). Googling "Thailand + uprising" talks mostly about Islamic-themed terrorist from earlier in the year.

On Park Ave, the security is insane. we're really near the U.N. here, so I can imagine all the tension and drama centered here and spreading around the globe right now. Here's the latest from CNN-

Thai government faces coup attempt
Members of the Thai military are trying to seize power in Bangkok, but Thailand's leadership -- currently at the United Nations in New York -- expects everything to return to normal soon, Deputy Prime Minister Surakiart Sathirathai told CNN. According to a statement on Thailand's state-controlled Army television, the government still controls the capital and the surrounding areas.

Singapore is pretty much ok.

Im really shocked at the current situation in Thailand though.

I guess the political situation there was already simmering since Thaksin's position as PM has been rocky since the start of the year. All might have looked well at surface level...but u never know.

I wish you all the best Gentleman, and i hope everything returns to normal for you and your countrymen.
