Remember the Beresford?

$120 shipped on eBay. And no guilt too, Beresford was a rip off, just this DAC with a replaced faceplate.

And most people consider this a pretty decent DAC/Amp for the price (which I believe was just above the Zero when it came out?).

I don't know if this has been posted before, haven't seen it. Nice deal.

It got posted in most lengthy threads concerning Beresford DACs. Either back when Stanley Beresford was running multiple accounts here and would shout down negative opinion, or after he was banned when the fanboys would do a similar enough job.

The fact is known to people who take the time to ignore Mr Beresfords dribbling mad utterances about how magic powered his alterations to the design are.

Insideous is probably the word that covers it best but you've got to credit the model he chose for a business in the audio world. After all, Russ Andrews has been doing the same thing at minimum 10x the price level for much longer and people think that he's the best thing since sliced vinyl. If a modded DAC-1 costs twice as much it must be at least twice as good right? Nevermind buying a better DAC. MOAR BLACKGATEZ.

Hehehehe Duggeh. I love browsing eBay and seeing the same products as "name-brand" companies sell for 10 fold less.
