I have a feature request that's been knocking about for a while, and really simple to implement:

Possible to have an option to enable the clickwheel as volume control by default when using the device as a USB DAC? I use it as the primary DAC for my laptop and it's kind of a pain to always wake the screen and press the middle button whenever I want to change the volume. It'd be great to just be able to change the volume by turning the wheel, like an analog control, without having to press a bunch of buttons first.

I don't know if this would be possible with the current firmware modding tools, but I doubt it. It would be cool to see the option in a future update though, if there are any planned. It would vastly improve the usability of the device for me.

Hi,wormyrocks
The X3II don't support the function you mentioned. And the firmware of it may not have new update.

If you are using the headphone port when the X3II work as DAC, you can click the volume +/- button, then turn the scroll wheel to control the volume.

If you are using the lineout port when the X3II work as DAC, the volume can not be controled by X3II but the control in the computer or the music player softwares.
Thank you for your feedback. We will take it into consideration in our later products.

Hi FiiO, I'm loving my X3ii, but I'm having an issue in your latest firmware for which I hope there will be a fix. I've seen this mentioned elsewhere in the forum (I believe), but when the FiiO plays back high res 24bit FLAC, there is occasionally, maybe once or twice a song, some very rapid brief stuttering. I'm considering a downgrade to 1.45 beta since that seems the closest to the final firmware, but I'd much prefer a fix obviously. Thanks!

Hi, Solasuke

Could you please try to format your TF card by the X3II to see whether it helps? It is recommended to format the card to FAT32 for better compatibility. Could you tell us the brand of the TF card? If the problem still remain, please upload some music files to the dropbox and send the link to us by PM. We just want to reproduce the issue and find the reason. Thank you in advance!

OK I'll get to that later today. I have the 200gb sandisk card but I also have a regular 32gb card. the 32gb card came in fat32 and the 200gb card I used the x3ii twice on it on separate occasions.

On further inspection, it seems the encoding itself is flawed. But thank you for your concern and quick response!
