OK...I'm floored! I'm flabbergasted! I'm dying...
Now, here's what happened:
I just read on a french forum that a guy bought a slightly used Sony MDR-R10...for 30€ on a flee market!!!!! The seller was probably not aware of the thing...and the best part is that the neither the buyer, actually! He bought it because he liked the design and wanted to use it to decorate his room. He came to the forum to ask how much such a headphone would cost!
He also said that one of the sides has a bad contact, so the cable probably needs to be replaced...but wow: 30€!!!!

I could be happy for the guy but I'm going to choose denial instead.......... definitely impossible.

What good fortune did you have? The best I had was finding my Grado 325 in a local pawn shop for $120...
