Im noticing very little difference with my headroom mini desktop amp plugged in to my RME Hammerfall DSP Multiface soundcard, I'm wondering if the soundcard is a high enough quality product already that the amp is unnnesecary with it, I'm using sennheiser HD-600's and ultrasone HFI 650's, also getting some reference quality akg 240 df's soon so may need the extra vol boost from the headroom amp
with thoose but my Hammerfell DSP Multiface drives the Sennheisers just fine might be noticing a little more fullness in the mids but if so it's miniscule and could be placebo, also have some akg 702's and senn hd650's in the mail so more tests are pending I absolutely cannot spend over $400 on a amp and am guessing the Hammerfall already has a good DAC onboard any opinions would be greaty appreciated, don't see may references to music production gear on here, so it would be nice to hear from someone that knows what's going on inside my RME Hammerfall
