Long time audiophile but relatively new to digital audio via computer. Is there a program for EQ that I can use on my computer and still bypass the computer's soundcard to my USB DAC and amp? TIA

Did you want the EQ to apply to all sounds or just music?
 
If it's the latter then just use the EQ in what ever player your using and hard set the DAC as the output device.

As long as your DAC is the output in your music player, the soundcard should be bypassed with or without EQ. I don't know what software you're using, but EasyQ and ElectriQ are great parametric EQ plugins that will work with any media player software that accepts VST plugins.

Actually I want to use it for both but my kid really wants to EQ the sound for his online gaming.

I know of one EQ that will work for all programs and sounds, EqualizerAPO.

That's the way to go ... with GUI's I have made it's even more usable system.
