I can’t find a thread yet for Noble Onyx so shall start one.

I tried it at a local shop today and was it good. Really good mids, life like vocals rendition, minimal sibilance, impactful bass with good amount of it, and the vibration/sub bass feel was great. It was this perfect IEM for me especially at low levels where usually iem start to sound anemic but this has that impact and feels to them at lower volumes.

Was so impressed I got it in the spot. And my first impression video below

I can't remember where I read it, but I came across an impression that said the Onyx was a "better" Kublai Khan. I haven't heard it so I can't say one way or the other, and that definitely piqued my interest.

I didn't like many of the previous noble IEM. This is more a of chance encounter for me as the tuning was something more mainstream but more refined with some tricks up the sleeves like the bass and atmosphere of the music that's being listened.

It’s a wonderful iem. I auditioned it for 2 days. Really nice, tight bass. Highs were great too. I just found the mids a little lacking. It’s also expensive I think.

I notice the tips mess around with the mids quite alittle. Final audio tips kills the mids while spinfit omni and the 7hz new large bore squarish tip having significantly better sound. Its price is around 3200 usd now

I can see this being the case. I find Final E tips a bit muddy with some pairings while Omnis are high clarity tips.

Yeah. And I didn’t like the onyx default tips either.

I almost pulled the trigger on the Onyx but I found the mids a wee bit lacking. I like a thicker/lusher sound. Maybe it's a tips thing?

Yah You can try different tips. there are some that will push mids a little more. I got mine only after changing the tips in the store and trying it with a spinfit omni.

Onyx has been quite the point of discussion in the office with my colleague, @Marty Carnuccio, liking it the more and more he listens, and of course with @stephenkostas making a video on it (which will be released Saturday :)) While I wasn't blown away by Onyx upon my first few rounds of listening, I've really begun to enjoy what Onyx adds to Nobles lineup with its fantastic layering, spacious soundstage, and of course its energetic low end.

The onyx is really a IEM that you can keep coming back to listen. Very enjoyable in soundstage, separation, layers and overall atmosphere of the sound. It’s the kind that won’t outright dazzle you but slowly draw you in
