Anyone able to say how the Viking Rangars compare to the Kaiser Encores?

The Ragnar / Viking is the most advanced IEM built in the History of Noble.

The Encore represents the best of Noble 5 years ago. The Ragnar represents where Noble is today.
That much I could figure out lol.

Are you allowed to talk about the sound difference between the two?

Encore's are always excellent. But, 5 years have passed indeed...🤔

That said, I had a pair (daily use) from 2017 to 2 months ago... That's an indication. 😎👍

And built to last... 👏

I think I can point out the physical/component differences

For example
The bass drivers of the Ragnar are dual 10mm drivers, which essentially = 20mm of diaphragm movement. To put that in perspective, a lot of full size cans use 40mm dynamic drivers.

The Encore uses twin BA knowesl CI drivers for the bass. While the CI is the largest bass driver produced by knowles, it isn't as big as a 10mm dynamic.

Due to their physical differences one can expect a different bass response.

time really flies uh, I still remember the time where we are guesstimating how many drivers are there in the Django!

In some respects
We are really discussing vibration, as that is what sound is.

We are not talking about memory, ram, speed etc etc

With that in mind, there is no reason to think something built 5 years ago is inherently obsolete

But what really sets the Ragnar & the Encore apart is the components used & the implementation of those components. Also, the technology/equipment used to build the Ragnar, we did not have 5 years ago.

And yes, the Encore, Katana, K10U, Sultan & Ragnar are built to last.

In theory, any one of those products could be 100% overhauled & finished with cerakote (for a fee ofcourse)

got fokus pro, its a good tws

1- like its bass
2- mids are peaky and thin
3- treble is peaky
4- stage is wide
5- call quality alot are complaining when they hear me using those
6- eq does not fix properly the short comings
7- tired personalized eq got bad results

I hope next tws Noble will focus way more on tonality and push out a better tws, we are still far away from wired iems sound quality even in price brackets similar to fokus pro, but for what it is compared to other tws its the best out there in terms of sound quality. As you probably notice from my profile I own totl iems, so my criticism should be taken with what I own. I appreciate what Noble is trying to achieve and will always support their products, and I look forward to their next TWS

Is there any way to order a Viking Ragnar today from within EU and avoid the extra costs. Possibly I'm bad at googling but I haven't found any way to do it...

1. Have a visiting friend from the US take it with him.
2. Get the cheapest return flight to the US if you come out ahead financially.

Not sure but you may get an extra year of warranty in the EU as 2 years is the minimum if bought there.

I am in a similar boat with my location in GER. There was an offer for 3,2k USD but none I know would visit anytime soon for me to receive the Ragnar. Ordering within the EU without the opportunity to listen beforehand makes it an entirely different decision. Think with fees I would be looking at close to 5k.

I am a big fan of the Wizard's work and have followed him since he started Heir Audio and I purchased a pair of his beautiful ciems. I then purchased a few of his Noble prods and eventually was able to buy the Encore.
I am in the UK and all purchases were done on pure faith that I would love and enjoy the product (which I have).
This is not possible anymore unfortunately and I just cannot afford his wares anymore :disappointed:

The prestige k10 IEM + uprgarded cable package deal is in the neighborhood of $3k.

Other products such as the Sultan / Ragnar etc due to build costs can not be offered at such a price.

Keep an eye out as there may be something offered that peaks your interest at a price point that keeps your wallet happy.

Furthermore, Black Friday is just around the corner.
