Test drive?? How can I do this? I'm in central Cali, Fresno

Ive heard of others going to Noble's office in Santa Barbara to do just that.

My ultraportable stack is just my Sony ZX2 and Noble K10. Usually what's with me when I'm onsite for short visits as well, if I actually have the time to listen to anything (rare).

But when I'm on assignment for a few weeks, it's the ZX2 -> Hugo -> LCD-X/TH-900 (depends on mood), what I listen to when I'm back in the hotel after work.

Nice! Sounds like a good versatile setup. I like the headphone choices too.

Thanks! For fun, relaxed listening, it hits the spot, if you don't have to be bothered about fitting it in your pocket. But really, the K10/ZX2 combo is more than enough

Can anyone with experience fill me in on the differences between the new Trident and the old Noble 3? (universals).

It is much like a gen 1, gen 2 situation. The housing design is different, with a slight tuning variation as well.

If say you own an N3 and want to move away from a deep v sound quality, the Trident would not be an appropriate move, as the Trident is still a v shape type product.

Hoping there'll be some Wizard Savannas in the near future... seriously. Is that gold quartz in the last pic/#2?? I know I shouldn't be surprised but What?! I feel overwhelming jealousy for whoever's lucky enough to grab that one.

I wouldn't expect that, wizards r built according to if there is spare time, and with the current back order situation, other products have priority

Completely understandable. I meant near future as in, hopefully things'll settle down enough by the end of the year enough to get some wizard universals of the revamped models.

I'll wait 100 years for a pair of Wizard Savannas.

I'm thinking about saying screw ultraportable and just get something at least "transportable" like a MacBook + WA8 eclipse or alo cdm. Simple and effective
