Another question and i realize OT...   any Hong Kong recommendations with wide selection to try before buy, particularly Noble and JH?

what kind of sound signature are you looking for ? this is the most important aspect (i guess budget is not a concern of you so this is secondary ?)

JH13 are supposed to be fast and kinda neutral (a bit on the warm side) while K10 are supposed to be midcentric , so k10 and jh13 are very different sunding iems

also , there are tons of great (C)IEMs out there , do some research - the market has exploded lately with amazing products that do not cost a kidney

no need to spent 2500 on Layla (just saying)

tell us what kind of sound you want , and you can take it from there

A -   I pretty much give those away to kids, makes them feel special, and its better than throwing them away in the trash bin

B -   I pretty much do not use my phone for music.  I may use it for blue tooth connection to my car audio system, but that is about it

C -    I roll with Noble, its a lifestyle for me

Or D - use the prototype of your next masterpiece

I've been wondering since I saw there's an option to use exotic woods for the prestige line, is it possible to use a javanese teak wood?
Just in case if I hit a jackpot from somewhere and have enough money to get a prestige k10 haha

D, is an option as well.

I assume u mean "Japanese Teak Wood"

I am not sure where u are located, but some woods can not cross borders too easily (protected woods etc etc)  But lets assume the wood can be shipped.  We would then have to stablelize the wood, a process that prevents the wood from cracking etc etc.   Then we could, in theory, build you a set of Prestige CIEMs with Japanese Teak Wood.

That being said, it should be noted that due to all the above steps, the build time would be much longer.

Then option D it is Haha

It's Javanese/indonesian teak wood

It's nice to hear it's theoretically possible (as long as I have enough money)
I'm from Indonesia btw

Sorry guys i'm a little behind here if this has been covered at length...   what is concensus on how long the K10's take to open up?   I spent about 10 hours with a new set of CIEM's on a flight back from Seoul last week, and tbh, they just don't have that liveliness that i was expecting. I'm a little worried my expectations may have been too high, but want to understand what i should expect for changes as they break in.

I'm coming from JH-13 Pro's, and source is a sony ZX2.

appreciate perspective from the illuminati.

Wait for atleast 200 hrs then they seem to open up.( Steve From enjoythemusic.com recommend this and I agree) I have same rig and if you read my week 1 impressions I was bummed. After 6 mons now I simply love them. Also on zx2 use eq to bump 1k to +2 , 6k +1 and clear bass to +3.. This make vocals airy and bass has more thump.. Be patient it is really good.. My review is over due still, polishing it will post soon

Also I changed the cables to DHC symbiote fusion TRRS cables and that had also made significant impact to soundstage..
