Well I'm envious of those Black and gold but not for today and portable listening but by the time they stick me in a retirement community a nice pair will beat the living dog out of watching "Let's make a deal" with my comrades in slower movement:eek: I also understand the 4 walls with people on each side, just stressing that the majority of the outside scenario's is defeatist to the best listening one can get. Unlike Fiasco I'm lucky in the respect that I have a dedicated attic Man cave where great listening levels do not disturb anyone else in my home even into the wee hours. These are just some of my opinions and we all know what the old saying is about those:wink_face: As I get older it's all in what one can justify to themselves, just simply felt that the Popular Mechanics article does hold some merit! Not as much in this community but I'm sure to a lot of the population as a whole.

But that is just it, that population is shrinking rather than expanding. More and more folks are downsizing, lifestyles are changeing, needs are shifting as well.

That being said, i do wish i had a man cave. Sometimes i have to sit in my car and converse via skype so not to bother others as they sleep.

There are rules placed on sponsors... so i cant discuss such things, and even if i did, id do so in a positive light. For example, people bash Bose.... but do people realize Bose, was founded by Dr. Bose, an imigrant, that probably faced tremendous challenges that a lot of folks will never face, and yet he built a company that has a lasting name beyond his death. How many of us here can, or will do that? That is not to say I like Bose products, I dont think Ive ever owned anything from Bose, Im just saying there are a lot of facets to consider.

I really wish you started a blog or something like that.
You could share your insights on many things, share neat information on IEMs, share your thoughts and reasoning behind your products, your views on other's products.

Quick ? for you fine folks...been listening to my K10's pretty well non stop since I received them. They're INCREDIBLE!!! Today when listening (plugged into my Noble BTS) I had a buzzing noise just for a few seconds come out of my left monitor. I had the volume turned down pretty quiet, anything to worry about or just a fluke deal? Thanks for any insight or help!

I am still waiting for 100% confirmation from Brannan. Last year, yes he did free impressions when ordering at the show. As for better than CanJam its hard just to say yes. This gets a lot of foot traffic over 3 days, but its also a much larger selection of home audio gear. The show is being done by someone else now as the person who use to run it passed away. The headphone area wasn't huge last year, but it had some of the top names. AK, Schiit, Hifiman, JH, etc etc. I hope Noble does want to do it, I will be at the booth, already was asked if I wanted to help, of course I said HECK YES.

Brannan can bring the stuff down, help me set up and leave for all I care. I would do it myself, although he still has some value at the show, like being able to take orders and get payment. 

 I can learn ear impressions, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Yea just checked out 2015 video of The Show Newport, doesnt seem like there are a lot of IEMs were there, only saw HifiMan, Astell&Kern, Audeze, but all of them were Headphones.

If your goal is to check out Noble, then it should be good for you, once again, assuming we go. I know Brannan has told me some people have committed, not sure who. He wasn't going to go, but he is reconsidering, which says something. I will keep posting info as I get it.

I guess I will refer you to the post above. 

 I have told Brannan I would work any show he wanted me at. I am not an employee, so as a business, if they can get help from others that live close, then it makes sense to do that. I asked about CanJam London and AXPONA, I understand how it works and cant expect them to pay to fly me around, pay other expenses etc if they dont have to. But dont get me wrong, I would love to try it out, see some of the world, meet people from here, etc.
