No iems are comfortable for me... Any recommendations for typical earbuds (e.g. Apple's Earpods, but much better sounding)

The title pretty much says it all. I've tried a few different pairs of iems, and comply foam tips, and I found all of them incredibly uncomfortable. I can't seem
to find any kind of earbud that isn't either A. in-ear or B. average and/or bad sounding

I've looked at some reviews of Bose Soundtrues, but they haven't been favorable.

Can anyone give me some recommendations?

The Monk Plus sounds great and isn't in-ear. Costs only 5$ plus shipping and is excellent value for the money.
For 10$ plus shipping you can get the expansion pack which ships with foam rings, rubber rings, fin stabilizers.

I have to second the Monk+ too. Its SQ about the same level as the Apple earpod but at only 1/6 of the cost. Not to mention it sounds good every when used with just a smartphone.
