New Ultrasone HFI-2400

I was seriously getting thinking about getting a pair of the hfi-2000's based on the few descriptions I have found about their sound signature and also their ultra-cool brown/orange color scheme

Then I saw the same announcement on their website. Mighty cruel of them to post such an announcement without an iota of additional information about the new model. What are the improvements, what will the cost be, and most importantly: will they maintain the brown and orange???

I dispatched an email to their info desk for more info...

Hmm this is why thomann had the 2200 for a really low price for some time.

What's the top of the line Ultrasone that isn't a thousand pounds? I have the Proline 2500's and I love them, so comfatable and sound great. Their range seems to stop at the £250 mark.

They have three full-sized headphones series, Edition, Pro, and HFI (icans and zino are their portables). Most expensive after the Editions is the Pro 900. I hope they make the HFI-2400 with titanium drivers, if gold-plated I must think more because I've been spoiled by the pro 900.

HFI-2000 and HFI-2200 were both open. I am crossing my fingers that the HFI-2400 will follow the footsteps of the HFI-2200 in exterior design. Last few Ultrasone headphones sure had nice exteriors but they're all monochrome.

I hope for the following:
Still closed.
Higher sound pressure level and lower impedence. A phone that can benefit from amplification, but still sound wonderful out of an iPod.
Detachable screwable cable like the HFI 2200
