Just want to make sure. Is the 6DE7 -> 6SN7 fully compatible for the WA6SE? Please note that I have your prototype version of the WA6SE.
Adapter dimension: 30mm width x 28mm height.
To re-iterate, here are the adapters offering:
9-to-8. 6DE7 -> 6SN7. 6DE7 -> 6EM7. 6DE7 -> 6DN7 (for WA6 and WA6-SE)
8-to-8. 6SN7 -> 7N7 (for WA22, WA5/5LE). 5U4G -> 5Z3, 6SN7 -> 6F8G (for WA22, WA5/5LE)
8-to-9. 6SL7 -> 12AX7 (for WES). 6SN7 -> 6CG7 (for WA22, WA5/5LE)
The above is specific to the Woo Audio amps, but the adatper can be wired in any way that suit your requirements.
-Jack
Jack, will there any static noise since the left 6SN7 > 6F8G external grid wire is that close to the rectifier tube?
jc, I just got mine two days ago, and I was wondering why Jack made them differently than Glenn's too.
I can tell you that with EML 5U4G next to the TS 6F8G, there is absolutely NO noise.
I also got the 7N7=>6SN7 adapters, but I haven't tried them yet.
BTW, I have Glenn's adapters and they are very fine, but the Woos have all gold connections, even the top cap. Very nice.
