Hi, I discovered this forum about two months ago and enjoyed many thorough reviews and recommendations. Today, I decided to join myself, because I have some questions about a few items from the ongoing spring sales

Hello, Just looking to learn more about Hi-fi gear and separate what is snake oil and what isn't. Lots and lots of gear for such a wide range in price. I'm hoping to be able to find the sweet spot for my needs and what I can audibly hear.

Hi,
I’m a new member to the forum, but have been reading threads for the past few months. Not new to Hi-fi though but pretty new to Head-fi. Got my share of Bose and Sony headphones but my first foray into Head-fi came when I acquired Meze Empyrean in 2022 followed by Focal 2022 in 2023. Have progressed from SMSL SH-9/SU-9 to Topping D90 Discrete/SMSL D400EX to Woo Audio WA6SE, WA22, WA5/WA5LE and soon WA33. Music genre mainly vocals, jazz, classical music (orchestra/instrumentals), and some pop.
Hope to learn more, share, make new friends and snatched some good deals/trades. But most of all, continue to enjoy music and life.
BTW, I'm from Singapore and CanJam Singapore 2024 is happening in 2 weeks time. Would be happy to meet up if any of you are in town then.
Cheers.

Hi I'm a newbie here, and I'm all about learning and listening to different perspectives of music and gear, right now I'm learning and trying to figure out DSD using I2s which is very confusing to me. I use roon, audervana, and jriver, I have a dedicated p.c
I use for music files and streaming from. Tidal and qobuz. I also have a lumin u1 mini, and an eversolo a6, topping D90se, p.s audio DSJ, singxer su6 DDC, Denafrips pontus ii, and much more and because I must be crazy I just keep collecting because I like to hear the differences of audio equipment, one of my standing favorites is my Kef 107.2 and my Bozak concert grands, goldenear triton 1s and Tyler acoustics, oh plus my infinity kappa 8 and my Dunlevy are quite good well enough thanks and I look forward to talking with some of you guys and learning thanks regards David

Hello! I’ve been lurking on the forum for at least a year but finally signed up after attending my first can jam (NYC) the other week.
Don’t worry, every thread turns into a “what are you listening to” sooner or later…I've just joined today. More into the music than the equipment but always nice to see other people views.
Edit: LOL, I just realized I responded to a 10-year-old post.

My name is Peppe. In 1991, after my first summer job, at 15, I used all of the earning to purchase my first hi-fi: Technics SU-VX820, Sony CDP-991, Technics RS-BX828 and B&W 603. Fast forward to 2024, now mostly using headphones and finding balance between pleasure and office work, I just got the Sony WH-1000XM5.

Hello,
New to the forum but been doing the hifi thing for about a year now. Just trying to find something that works for me and my picky taste in music! And because I've always been a gear head when it comes to hobbies!

Hi everyone, I've recently bought a Sony NW-A45 Walkman and stumbled into the fantastic custom fw thread. This looks like the place to be to learn more and ask for advice!
I think it should be better to not include the private message into the "Posting" section. That causes confusion.

Hello! I made an account after I got curious about the VIDO earbuds because of how cheap they are. I only own some clear TRN MT1 which can be painful when listening on long periods due to the peak around 2khz-4khz. Even darkening with an EQ won't help so I bought a blue 7Hz Salnotes Zero after that and the treble pain is no longer existent when connected with my CX31993 DAC. I'm very new here when it comes about audiophile stuff so I can only afford the budget ones. Might buy the Samson SR850 over-ear headphones once I got my new job.
