  huh, if XB10 drives your LCD-4's I don't think it will be a problem. 
 
I haven't tested it, since I don't own them, but AK is known for not having the most powerful DAPs on the market...

I've not used a DAP that is as powerful as the AK380. In terms of current quality at top voltages, sure, you can get more 'powerful' DAPs, but not in terms of volume.

What do you think guys between AK70 vs DP-X1? In my country here in PH price difference is between $130-$150 between the
two.I've audition both the two DAP's and for my ears DP-X1 is a little bit better. But problem is it does not support USB-DAC so I
can use it on my PC to bypass my soundchip. My IEM's is on the budgeted bracket (KZ-ZST, KZ-ZS3, ES18). If ever can you recommendany IEM that will be a good pair sonically for AK70? Budget is $400-$500, or if ever I will get a CIEM for myself
thru FlipEars and replicate the sound of Westone UM3X. Any thoughts on this?

Considering the Iems matching AK70 
- LZ-A2S is a steal around $65 simple and musical great bass.
- LZA3 plus Fidue balanced cable (2.5mm) goes much further with a reasonable $160 +$50= $210 total
- Earsonics new ES-2 is a perfect match $350 , still I have to check that one with a balanced cable in the future.

The EQ is basically useless. A thing A&K definitely has to fix!

Well, Rockwell, I'm throughly annoyed because the X7's EQ is kick-ass, otherwise the 70 is cool in every other way.  Can a firmware update take care of this?  I need EQ for FLAC files that were produced decades ago and reveal hiss...what would you do?  Thanks.

You are paying for the build, brand, and better UI. Sound is subjective but I would imagine that the AK70 and X7 are both on the same level in terms of sound quality.

EQ has never been working on AK70.
Even new software 1.30 did not fix it.
AK is aware of that bug.
We shall mesure their responsiveness.
