anyone using this phone with a USB dac?
I tried mine with a Fiio E17 using UAPP and it works, though it would be great if there was native support so I can stream spotify and google play into the dac

I don`t understand why they don`t measure current as well as voltage as that`s also half the story, volts will give you volume but extra current will give you quality, especially on higher impedance devices.

iFi nano iDSD and the xDuoo TA-01 but the latter requires a powered USB hub.

I don't know why would anyone have troubles with this. I can confirm that Spotify, Deezer, Wimp all work fine with FiiO E18 as external DAC.
I don't have any other DACs to test but if the DAC work then whatever player you use doesn't matter.

in case anyone is still wondering about the USB DAC compatibility, I tested a few different roms & Kernels and turns out none of the aosp/cm11 based roms support usb dacs. BUT all of the stock sense roms like venom do. gonna try a gpe rom tomorrow.
It sort of confuses me because my xperia z2 works with my usb dacs no matter what rom Im using, stock or aosp. Maybe its a kernel thing.
BTW I tested with a fiio e17 and a hrt microstreamer

Has anyone tried playing 24/176 on the M8?  I just tried and it would play super slow (kind of like a slow turning turntable) and was totally wierd.  24/192 played fine though.  Is this normal?  I tried it over both jetaudio and the default music app.

Does the M8 crackle with Iem's as I've read reports here and there that it does.  I've the same issue with my M7 and Phonak Pfe232 headphones.  Above 60%(ish) volume I hear a tick/pop sound mostly from the left channel.  It's annoying to say the least.
