Enough bumps lol? People will get around to seeing the thread...

Anyways, i would personally recommend spending the extra money and getting the hd25-2. They can be had for $150-200 used in FS forums here and they are absolute beasts. They are built like a tank and have some of the best quality among portables. The shure srh440 or srh840 are also pretty good for 'entry level' use however many users find them bulky.

Another route worth looking into is iem's. He shure se215 are excellent for their price and give you a feel for higher end products in terms of build quality and design. Iems wouldn't be the best for gaming, but you say you have a carchaises so I would use that for gaming then get a separate hi-fi set of headphones. Any good headphone should be a noticeable improvement over the razer headset in terms of sound quality.

lol sorry haha i was getting a bit annoyed that people just sorta stopped helping haha I have looked into the hd25 and would really love a pair, I may need to save up extra then cuz it is out of my price range at the moment... I have also heard they have a small soundstage? how are they with sound isolation?

Isolation is excellent. Soundstage is on the smaller side, but all closed back headphones will have a smaller soundstage than open phones. Only exception i can think of off the top of my kind is the ultrasone pro900 but they are also $500... So yea. I definately recommend the hd25-2's though.

oh yeah haha 500 for headphones will definitely be pushing it haha you wouldnt happen to have other headphones in mind would you? I mean I am starting to see if I can afford to pay the bit extra for these hd25-2 but just want to know what my other options are as well. I am open to IEM but they MUST be able to stay in my ear... all the pairs I have had fall out while walking and such and it annoys me tons..

get the ATH-M50 or the SRH-840's even though they are a little bigger they are one of the best you can get, you can find them cheap online also read the review's everyone seem's to love them, I enjoy them a lot but feel they are a little bass shy, so if your not a total bass head they should be fine.

I would still like something that is on ear... I am starting to lean more towards IEM the more we go on haha due to portability.... sooo if you guys still have any in ear ideas, they would be good. They must stay in my ear tho cuz the ones I had before (2 pairs) always fell out of my left ear... I have somewhat greasy ears :/ I know.. kinda gross but I have to deal with it.

shure iem's are good and they have them in each price range

Shure se215's are excellent, around $99 new or 70-80 used
Westone 2's can be had for ~140 used on the forums
Ultimate ears tf10's are Excellent as well~150 used on the fs forums
Soundmagic pl-30 or pl-50s are also surprisingly good for their price, they are worth looking into.

Any iem worn over the ear shouldn't fall out easily. I personally find that shures and weatones have the most comfortable fit.

How would the IEM compare to other headphones in the price range? would on ear or IEM be better?
