I'm all in if the price is similar to the TH-X00.
If it's TH-900 pricing, then probably not.

looks awesome.
Reminds me somehow of the matt wood surface of my Denon AH-MM400:
...whereas I prefer the design of the MM400 in so far, that the metal feature in the centre of the cup visually makes up a very nice combination...
But of course this is just a matter of anyone's personal taste.

I think the color and finish on those cups is beautiful.

I went with the TH-X00 as well and I agree, the matt finish is much better. I also like the detachable cable. I have the Denon 5000 and they're developing a fault and it's just a pain to get these fixed... But I doubt these will be on par re. price with the TH-X00. They'll be $600-$700 RRP I suspect.

I would imagine so, considering the th-x00's price was listed as "50% off" its imaginary mrsp.
guess I am alone in preferring the stealth-like matte black magnesium look, oh wells...

good for you. i find matte finish looks used, cheap and ugly. to each own i guess.
Yep, it is good for me. I'm glad that I have good taste. BTW, I was merely providing a counterpoint and my own opinion to the gent who stated that he prefers the glossy finish. "To each their own," indeed. Your response of, "good for you," makes you sound like a child.

Those ear pads were my recommendation. I've been using them on my TH600 for over a year. Fostex should send me TH610 for free.
