It looks like they are trying to be witty with words. Acostic=acoustic=chap(lip)stic?

It looks like you transport it hanging around your neck.

I think the cover comes off and it is a sound card that uses a USB connection.

It could also be part digital audio player, possibly one that runs the headphone wires through the cord around your neck, so the user doesn't have to deal with slack

Same pic but i little more clear. Before i though i was an mp3 player but after that don't really have a clue, would say earbuds or a wire from an mp3 player.

Heck yeah, i can see those earbuds in the main pic.
I really was wishing was something else, like a full size headphone or mp3 player, i don't really use much earbuds.

Monster did some wonders with the Turbines apparently, so there is no need to cast doubt on these, yet.

Regardless I love the design. Not sure about those thin ear hooks though. B&O's A8 solution is far more elegant and seems more durable.
