Onkyo and pioneer brought in moderate priced daps. Hopefully others will follow.

Highly unlikely in nowadays DAP market.
If that is the new flagship above the P1 and with that dock (if it is one) I would not be surprised to see a pricetag beyond the 2k mark.

I think the consumers are not afraid of super expensive DAPs anymore, because AK240/380 and Lotoo PAW Gold have set an example to follow.
I hope Cowon is reasonable in their pricing.
 
One small thing I noticed on the flyer is that it says 192/24 but also says DXD (which is 352.8/24). I wonder if it's downsampled to 192/24.

$1270? wow... it costs twice the price of LG V10. I won't buy this...

I thought by now people understood that portable music players were grossly overpriced and that they will continue to be this way until people stop spending that kind of money. Obviously Cowon must have sold enough of the P1 to warrant increasing the price on the follow up version.
I won't buy this one, but glad to see that Cowon are still very much in business.
