I am giving the R3 a try considering that its price has dropped to $80 on Amazon for time being.

I received my R3 today and the look and feel seem premium. Nice selection of tips but I ended up using the two flange tips from the Penon T1E. The Penon tips seem like they a better qaulity silicone. The Comply tips I have had before but I now prefer the silicone tips in general . The case is nice too. Much better that the pouch that the T1E comes with. I have to used to the wire over the ear again. Haven't had that since a pair of Westone iems' that I lost last year.

The sound is good with my Fiio X1 & E11 though I think it needs a tad more treble which I added with X1's eq. I would rather add a little treble as opposed to dealing the T1E's accentuated treble. I find bass more appealing with R3. The T1E's bass was cool but seemed bloated. Overall I like the R3 especially at th discounted price. The only I have to get used to is the wire over the ear.
