Looks there's a couple new Beyer phones incoming, some sort of 770/990 refresh. The DT 700 Pro X and DT 900 Pro X.

Many will be pleased to hear that this now sport a Mini-XLR removable cable as opposed to the fixed cables the current headphones have.

This are also advertised as having 48-ohm drivers.

$329 each, preorder available on Amazon, set to release October 7th.

I look forward to impressions!

Detectable cables - Check! (Take note Grado!)

The ear pads look comfy, I wonder if the headband is user replaceable?

48 Ohm, I wonder if they'll bring out an 80 or 250 Ohm model but I doubt it!

I need the DT770 for late night gaming and isolation! :D

I'm glad they finally made them detectable.

At least someone at Beyer reads these forums.

Here they are after a fresh unboxing.

😂😂😂😂…just like the line from Come Together (John Lennon): “got to be good looking ‘cause he’s so hard to see”…

The 48 Ohm may actually be a homage to the DT 48, the first dynamic headphone ever made.

‘Give me an ohm where the headphones roam?”…😖😒

I hope they don't keep the DT990 tuning. That treble is ridiculously boosted.
Looks like they have the foam dampening which is also used on a different dt990 variant, the tygr 300r.

Looks like the headpband is non-replaceable now and made of plastic - such a shame, especially with much higher than 770/990 price.
However the pads looks interesting, thicker? Maybe won't be so easy to clamp as the 990 ones.

Yokes and pads looking great, dont like the headband and somehow shell design is meh but i understand it is suppose to be pro cans with a bit of homage to DT1k lineup but maintaining 'cheap and reliable' look.
Quite interested about sound of this, looks like they are going to use foam dampening like in all their new HP.
They might be a bargain when first discounts starts rolling out ~250-280$
