From Kingwa:

The R2R 7 had 4 types NOS modes.
While S2 = OFF, the R2R7 working in oversampling state (Like the master 7 mode), it can support 8X,4X,2X and the class NOS setting.
While the S2= ON, It working in NOS modes, (Like the NOS7), there are 3 modes different NOS modes.
Mode 1 is simply process .
Mode 2 is FIFO mode process.
Mode 3 is ultra high speed process.
There are some different sound flavors ,depend on the users taste, I am consider the Mode 1 is worst but it can support very high input sampling, so we put it on mode 1.

I am afraid to tell you it's the same mode. There are two jumper configurations to enable it.

I see the manual says that S2 on = Nos3. Then S2 on and ATT0 On = Nos3? But the one with ATT0 on sounds better to me

Well basically, they are 4 combinations and 3 modes. Kingwa chose to map nos3 to two configurations. This is the official story. I would be very surprised if I were wrong on this.

Fred, you're not wrong. Nos3 can be enable in two different ways, but still the same mode.

Ok, can someone please tell me what are the differences from Nos different Modes ?

I am trying to go through them all and there are 2 Nos3 Modes. 1 is without ATT jumpers, and 1 is with ATT0. I prefer the Nos3 with ATT0 jumper in. If I am correct, I think I am hearing pre-ringing, and if that is correct, different NOS modes has different Digital Filters applied ?

Only NOS mode in OS configuration (S2 OFF) applies digital filter. NOS modes with S2 ON (called 'pure' NOS modes) are all under analog filter.

I see. wow... The SOtM sPS-500 power supply feeds DC input to the Uptone LPS-1.2 power supply which finally supplies +5V DC for the F1.
Is Nesscap still in business? Digikey has their caps listed as Obsolete. But they have stock on many pieces.

I don't know digikey, but in china the nesscap very common stuff.from Taobao example.

Without a Mode 4 Kingwa smartly chose if ATT1 = Off then you always get Mode 3 and the best mode. ATT0 has no function whether On or Off when ATT1 = Off. Firmware programmers delima... only 3 modes but there are 4 possible logic combinations with the 2 jumpers.

Are you and @FredA still using Accurate FW? What are others liking for firmware and jumpers at this moment in time. Jump right in!

'For the most real like sound reproduce, Mr.Kingwa had spend a long term to design and rectify the new NOS DSP software personally, not only based the the software codes , but he also well know on the hardware compatible and sensitivity on the sound quality. In the design had applied -6db /oct passive analog filter , you can hear the wonderful sound of the NOS but you can't hear the noise as other some NOS design'

I would say so... 45 Farad of capacitance. That is huge.
