So im new to the whole high end headphone and IEM thing. I understand the search function, but I want other input from others willing to answer some questions. I started out with se530's and then got ESW9's in the same week. I love the ESW9's. Not so much the se530's. I just ordered FX-500's to see what they have to offer. I listen to house and electronica. But I love all kinds of music. According to the "buyers guide on here" the W5000 seems to be what im looking at for an upgrade. I currently have a Iphone 3sG and an Fiio E5 for a listening system. What would I need to satisfy the w5000? Would a portable amp satisfy? Or do I need to look for a desktop? What does a good desktop cost? Whats a good setup? any suggestions?
