Currently rocking some Bose Triport AEs.
I quite like them, but (after 2 and a half years of use!) they are finally getting roughed up.
Although the right earphone isn't knackered yet, the wire is pulling away from the cup.

So, time to get a new pair of headphones.
My max (budget-wise) is £100.

Do you suggest i just grab another pair of Bose?
Anyone know a better headphone i could get for the same money?

I like natural sounding bass, and a 'brighter' tint to the audio.
Mainly listen to hip hop i.e.

Madlib
J Dilla
Flying Lotus
Nosaj Thing
 
Played both on my Mac and with my iPhone - So decent 'loudness' from the iPhone would be a plus.

I keep reading on here that Bose are awful.
Although i like their sound, it may be because i use them every day and have got used to them.
 
Could someone explain to me why, without becoming all heated and patronising, Bose are really 'that bad'.
I feel i may be missing out on a better headphone here...
