Hi everyone,

Looking for suggestions for what would be a significant enough upgrade for the $ to make the upgrade from my current amp worth it.

I'm using a headsave v.1 classic with opa627s & 24 elpac right now. (You can see all my components in my sig) I like my amp, but am wondering what other budget amps would give me more liquidity, detail and open-ness. I'm not looking for a bright amp- it would have to be neutral or on the dark side.

My max price is 400 bucks. Thats not much I know, but that's the budget. Please, if you make suggestions, keep this budget in mind, its all I can afford.

Darkvoice is a good choice if you want to go with tubes... right at the top of your price range.

How often do you talk to yourself?
You need to spend about $500 to improve your amplifier. IMHO...
I have my own experience but I have not been a fan of tubes since the 60s.
