I've had both of these headphones for a LONG time (Fostex for about 5 years and the HD600 for over 10 years).

The one I really need to fix because they don't work right is my Fostex TH900. I cannot get a seal on my head because of how loose the driver support has gotten. How do I fix this? See photos. The left headphone screw appears to be getting looser and looser. I'm guessing I just need to tighten this screw but I have no idea how to get access to it. That's where I need some help/assistance.

The HD600 is more of a minor issue. See photo. Are there replacement parts for what's wearing away and is it easy to fix? I've already replaced the band once but never the driver covers. It's an open unit and they don't leave my house so is it a big deal if I just let it wear away and stay the way it is? Thanks!

EDIT: I attached photos but if they don't show here's direct link to photos I hosted elsewhere:

This part is an easy fix.
The ear pads (and the plastic mount that it's mounted to) can be easily pulled off by prying them out from the inside without tools.
Replacement foams are just clamped in place when putting the ear pads back on.

Thanks! I figured these were the easier of the two. Any insight on the Fostex cans?

Remove pads, use Phillips head screwdriver to remove the cup from the housing so you have better access got the screw and screw it firmly in place.
I never had to do it with any of my Fostex but I have done a cup swap this way

This!

Fixed thank you. I actually did some Google searching prior to reading your post and a headphone enthusiast friend of mine came over so we tackled it together. In the end it's much easier having two hands holding the unit in place and a 2nd set of hands to put that screw back in place.

1.) Rotate the ear pad to remove
2.) Take out the four screws which now removes the cup from the driver
3.) Full exposure of screw seen
4.) Careful align and put screw back in
5.) Reverse steps to reinstall and I'm a happy camper!!!
