hd 600 has asome sound but weak bass not wat i am looking for the ath-700pros wat i heard are bass monsters but i never tryed em
Really?
both are open back and bass weaK.
i do want sq
i want like my shures 440s + alot of bass
i hate a super overpowring bass that just rumbles and has crap highs i want blanced sound but with a lot of bass
almost on the side of beng overpowerd
i am a bit worried about the xb as that may be be the case and they seem very cheap
I have XB-1000 and it is NICE to say the least. With bassy songs it shakes your head.
And if treble is waht you are looking for then 1000s will lack that sharpness. But then again you can't have really bassy 'phones with sharp treble. Or so I've understood. Correct me if I am wrong.
Cheap doesn't always mean bad.
I wouldnt discount the xb cause of their price. They are worth a lot more to their owners imo. From your description you cant go wrong with the hfi-580 either. They have more than enough bass and imo you cant get better sq unamped.

You ve just described the DT 990.
Take a look at the HFI-580, they fold up and are pretty bassy
DT990 is not that bassy.
If you're looking for balanced but bassy, try getting a used-like new Denon D2000.
