Hey, ever since I bought my Shure E5 canalphones, I cant tolerate all this crappy sound from systems like the Logitech Z640 5.1 or Sony EX71 headphones, or anything that sounds so nazal, shrill and insanely heavy on the bass.
I guess I'm willing to spend anything between $300 and $1000 on a pair of some of the better stereo speakers as I'm getting ear fatigue wearing my Shures all the time.
I have an M-Audio Revolution sound card capable of fairly high quality stereo sound, and that will be the sole output for the speakers, so I dont need a reciever, maybe an amp if its worth avoiding the preamps.
So at that budget, and considering the above, what would you recommend?
