Hello everybody,

this is my first message, but I know this is the place when it comes to headphones.

My old affordable Equation RP21 is close to end it's life so I need new headphones.

The budget 200$, new only.

Requirments:

Excellent built quality, I not planning to replace them soon (I am broke university student).

Closed, comfortable with reasonable sound Isolation.

Sound good when not amplified (I am planning to use it sometimes with the galaxy s3).

Good Mids, I will be using it when jamming on my electric guitar.

I prefer more neutral, close to the source sound.

I listen to rock music Hendrix, Zeppelin,Floyd..., sometimes to late 90's early 00's trance/house, maybe a little bit of reggae.

No classic music, no jazz, almost no hip hop.

After searching and reading in the forum, I leaning towards the sennheiser 25-1 ii.

Also considering:

AT m50,

DT 770pro 80 ohm,

Ultrastone 780.

Which is the best headphone for me, maybe model that I haven't mentioned?

Thanks for the help.

The denon is way too expensive.

The fischer audio is intersting but probably will be harder to find.

Didn't know about the philips, is it new? I wait for more reviews.

Phillips Uptown is very new...and pretty awesome apparently. I read some reviews that compare it with M50 and some say it beats it...so...:) I am not really sure...but its a risk...

As for the 280 I think I can get something better in the budget.

As for the fortex, interesting headphones. But I don't have not the money nor the time for experiments.

I need good all-around, very durable and reliable headphones.
