Hello, I need help to upgrade my current setup.

My DAP : Ibasso DX 90

My iem : Heir Audio 4.ai

My headphone : Sennheiser Momentum

My use : I take the train (and the bus) every day,  I need a good isolation and a solid cable

My kind of sound : Warm, laid back, detailled, treble roll off (non fatiguing sound), a little boost on bass is nice too, I am not a fan of V signature (with middle recessed)

What I listen : mainly classic rock, hard rock, jazz

My budget : 500€ max

Here a few iem/ portable headphone I spotted :

-Oppo PM3

-Westone W40

-Fidue A83

What I want is obviously an upgrade, or at least discover a sound that match the best my tastes. I will probably sell my Momentum and my 4.ai after the upgrade

Should I go for a pair of custom iem? Because I can mold mine for 300€ but don't know if it worth as a real upgrade ...

If you have other suggestions... :)

Thanks

CIEMs can be a good upgrade, but I don't know much about those.

For over-the ear headphones I recommend the Denon AH-MM400 because it shares the top spot with the OPPO PM-3 on audio quality for it's price, while having the warmer tonality of the 2. The PM-3 might be a bit too neutral for your tastes, certainly in a noisy environment.
