Hello all

I am thinking about getting a new pair of in-ear monitors. My shortlist is as following:
Shure SE215
AKG K350
Denon AH-C560R

What I will listen is mostly hip-hop and from time to time some classical music from my smartphone. Also they will be for outside use/public transportation. Which one do you think I should get?

Thanks

I'll keep an eye on this thread, since I'm thinking of getting a new pair of IEMs - I've been looking at the Shure SE215 too.

At the moment I'm using Klipsch Image S4, which I've enjoyed a lot - but it's always funny to true something new (and better)

Hi,

I think it would be alot more helpful if you described your tastes.
For instance, I own the SE215s but the bass isn't really punchy. And I guess most hip-hop listeners need better bass than that... However, if you describe the type of sound you like I think people here will be able to help you alot easier then.

I guess I'm interested in bass and a clear sound. Low and mid range.
As of right now I don't like the length of the cable on Shure's (although I understand I can replace it) and from some reviews Denon seems to leak a lot.

Also added on the list are the T-Jays Three.

L.E: The more I read the more I get confused. Now I'm starting to look at the Beyerdynamic DTX 101 iE as well. From a shortlist of 3 now I'm at 5. And I didn't even went to the Sennheiser's (had a CX 300-II) as I want something else.

Shure SE215 - the cable too long, don't wanna go looking for a new cable on a pair of brand new 'phones
AKG K350 - i would like a video review / more reviews about them and specially about their weaknesses
Denon AH-C560R - too much leak sound?
T-Jays Three - they start to look like the winner
Beyerdynamic DTX 101 iE - just started reading about them, some high ratings on review sites
