A Auzentech X-fi forte should be in the Op budget It has a headphone amp and since it uses a X-Fi chipset besides having op-amp socket he should be fine.He just have to find one. I also sure he might beable to find one under 125 if he gets lucky. Xonar DS would work too since it can emulate EAX5, but if he wants EAX3 and 4 he would be outta luck with the xonar.
