Could You describe differences between this amps?

Another planet!

These are the same SET 300B, but the Cary is 15 w and the AT "only" 8 for channel. The AT adopt TAMURA output transformers and highest quality components inside.

The AT has great air and power, the bass is totaly another thing. The dynamic is immensly better. The AT is very fast and at the same time has a higher musicaliti.

The Cary is a very good relaxed amp, but (IMO) the K1000 needs something more than this.

The Air Tight is 3 times the price...

You must be the only person around here who actually owns a Linn CD12. I would like to hear your thoughts on CD12 vs. some modern contenders...

Stereoplay opinion: Naim 555 - 65 points, Linn Sondek - 63, Meridian 808i - 63.

You find 300B WE better than AVVT?
Your tube-seller friend, has he still 2A3 AVVT?

Now, with the Air Tight I finally hear the magic sound of THE 300B, yes, I said THE 300B, I mean Western Electric! I did not used them on the Cary, and the AVVT c-37 was a lot better with that amp.

But thanks to the K1000 and the Air Tight I can hear all the pure triode sound!

(May be nxt steo-up could be a WE 300B 1970, I have found one pair but they are very expensive). My WE 300B are new production.

Another excellent component is the Acrolink, I never heard a better interconnect, stress free" as youca read on the wooden box... so a stress free K1000 is for me the max.
