Im back thinking about getting a pair of these for myself and using a Impedence adaptor for them on my MKV...

Has anyone used these with a Solid State amp and did it sound good or bad etc..?? I dont want to rush out and buy a pair just yet if it's just gonna be a bad combo.

Depends on amp. You need high-current output amp for Grados to make them really shine.
