that peregrine is beautiful. i have wanted to try a single speed cyclocross bike but not really gotten around to it. simply lovely. I have just browsed a bit of your site and have just got to say nice work.

i had no idea we had such an artist at headfi - if i ever head over to the uk (chances are that i will as my mates want to do a leg of the tour de france), i might just pick up a frame as those are some damn good prices too. great lug work!

Your bike looks set up for commuting - why the body armour?

Sam

Yup i put mudguards - and here in Germany thay have some strange law about what all you need to have on bike if you want to ride around, or - you got a ticket ...

And you are right, i really dont need a body armour, but i got it cheapo, gonna keep me dry and - to show my military pride :)

I'm a dirtjumper.

I've got a Kona Shred, '04 maybe. Also a custom built DMR, with lots of good stuff on it. Bombproof.

Grown up with some pro's throughout my life so im really into it.

Anyone here buy MBUK? My mate was on the front cover this month.

I didn't realise dmr did custom? Dirtjumping not really my thing - but my respect to those who do it well. If I get much more than three feet in the air I get a little nervous... MBUK is certainly one of the better mainstream UK mtb mags, though I'm more a Singletrack kinda guy...

My primary bike, Specialized SX Trail. I LOVE this bike, I used to trade my bikes in yearly when I worked at a shop, but this is the one I never got rid of.

I'm also starting to work on building up my single speed. Luckily I found one of the last open oil bath Z1s... my favorite forks of all time.

My rig for trails and riding around our small town. I wish I didn't live 45km's from my work so I could commute with it. (I did once, took 2hrs one way cause of all the steep hills) Not good on top of a 9hr work day where I'm going all day long and doing lots of heavy lifting.

I have an old Trek from a couple of years ago and from what I recall, the brakes were extremely tight and hard to pull. What maintenance would be required to use this bike? What do I need to do to fix the brakes? And finally what parts would I notice the greatest improvement after purchasing (wheels, forks, brakes, etc)? Thanks for the help

I have a green and silver mountain bike out back. Haha. I just got it back from my friend. No idea what the brand is, but it's been reliable, and boy do I like to jam out on that bike. Anyone have a suggestion for a decent, cheap mountain bike? PM me. :D
