can you tell me some of the most revealing IEMs, that reveals all the flaws of a recording. No price limit, any sound signature, any genre of music etc.

I can tell you what you don't want.  The SE530s.  They manage to be very detailed and very forgiving at the same time.  Must be magic.

HiFiMan RE0 is similar -- very detailed, and yet very smooth.  And slightly less expensive than the SE530/5.  Another

JH13s, though based on my limited exposure with the JH16/3A at CanJam, I'm going to put my vote there, but will wait until I receive mine to confirm.

I'm not hugely experienced with IEMs, though I do know what I like with full-sized headphones and loudspeakers. Of the IEMs I've auditioned, the JH13 is the only one that has really grabbed my interest. I've got to take care of a couple of obligations, but will buy a pair before the end of the year.

The Westone ES3X continue to reveal each change in my system whether amp, DAC, or cables, all are revealed by these great IEM's. Am considering the new Westone ES-5's.

Yes... I am getting a pair, and have always wanted to hear bad recordings that have sounded good/ok to me before. I have westone 3's, and they also compliment (in my experience) the recording.

Yes, absolutely.  Not quite as much as the "S" and "B" versions but still more than probably that 90-95% of what is on the market.  Etys are just in a whole other world when it comes to treble detail.

I agree with Spyro, the ER-4P's are also very revealing.. feed them well and you're rewarded, feed them garbage and you can't get them out of your ear or change the song fast enough...

Do I need an amp for the ER4P, or they sound good straight into my iPod classic?

They don't require an amp since they are the P (portable) version. Personally, I don't think that they're that revealing-just bright phones tend to sound more detailed. If you want revealing, get some 'stats.

The most revealing I've used in Westone's UM3X.  You will hear things you won't hear in other earphones including the ER4S, SE530, or CK10.  The Westone 3 apparently shares the same capability in a different sound signature.
