Check out the Simgot EA1000. It is one of the most resolving $200 sets I've heard, has a passive radiator to add some sub-bass heft.
Has 3 tuning nozzles to change the sonics, but is a bit bright if you are treble sensitive.
Great that you recommend the EA1000 as it was already at the top of my list 👌 Along the Awful Performer 5\8 and Letshuoer sS15.
Thanks a lot 👍

Just received these foam tips for my Space Travel
https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/1005005049019195.html

They're the perfect size for the charging case, maybe could even be a little bit longer. They're a bit small for me, but that's because I messed up and ordered Ms instead of Ls by mistake, and I always use large eartips. As one could expect with foam tips, the iems get a little bassy with those, so I may have to use the least bass-oriented Monitor eq preset (I normally use the middle-ground Reference one) in the app if it gets too tiring.

Aria 2 is just a hair better in technicalities (micro-details, instrument separation, imaging and soundstage). Marginal upgrade IMHO.

Might be better to save up for a more substantial upgrade in MidFI territory?
I have heard from some reviews that despite the graph, the Aria 2 sounds more like the Kato than the Aria Snow. Would you confirm this or would you say they sound just like the Aria Snow?

I'm just curious because I have both the Aria Snow and Kato but I like the Kato a whole lot more.

While most of the Moondrop gear follow the VSDF curve, and are just variations (no pun intended) of each other, the Aria 2 is actually brighter than the KATO in the lower treble region.

If you have the KATO already, I think no value add to get the Aria 2.

Hello. Did anyone ordered a Variations from their AliExpress store on 11.11? I made order 12th of november and they still haven't collected the order.. So maybe they just dont want to sell it on sale price? I dont know what is happening, but thats a little bit too much time to wait for collecting the order.

Nah, I doubt that is the reason. Moondrop just have some issues with keeping certain products in stock, I bought their Dawn Pro DAC on 11th and they haven't shipped it until 20 days later. I'd assume Variations also have some availability problems if it's like you say.

Yeah it seems to have a DSP detachable cable, and is a planar + DD hybrid. The added DD may assist in bass excursion and decay, which may be an issue with some pure planar IEMs.

Like WhereAreMyEars said, from my experience, when it's on busy season they just take a while more than usual. I ordered a Dawn Pro and later I decided to order a Chu 2 and Free DSP, all from the Moondrop Store, and the things I ordered later where sent faster.
Ah, but just to give you some peace of mind, I did order a Variation in April (during some of these bigger sales) and all went fine, even with the big discount.

For the love of god Moondrop don't F this one up. If they do it right this is going to be a slam dunk, but looking at the recent IEM releases of Moondrop it could go either way.

I've been waiting for a good wired planar/DD hybrid since getting my Huawei Freebuds Pro 2 (TWS planar/DD hybrid) as I know it'll die eventually. The current wired attempts aren't quite there yet. I know what this driver combination is capable of if done right and it's spectacular. Just hope it won't need the DSP cable to sound good and that it's just an option.

There seems to be an initial graph of the Moondrop May from Crinacle

That actually looks good. Now the question is how much of that is DSP and how much is actual tuning.

Why would that be important? Freedom of cable choice?
