I have not seen a 430ha go up for sale on Headfi for some time. Can anybody tell me what is a good ballpark price to ask for a used one that does not have the internal DAC? Im ready to post mine for sale.
Thanks

430HADs have been listed for $3600 but did not sell quickly at that price point. The 430HA retails for $800 less so a selling price around $2800 seems realistic.

2500 is way too low, seems to me 3000 ish is the proper number if it is in primo condition...the amp is better than the DAC so i think the amp alone holds its value better than the combo.....i know i use my 430 amp only with a Yiggy DAC and i havent found a better combo as of yet although i am sure they exist for far more money

I had the pleasure of auditioning one of these today with a pair of HE1K v2's. Super, super impressed with it. I went to audition a GSX MKII but found it had too much energy in the treble region, even with slightly laid back phones. I then tried the 430HA and was really impressed.

How is the Utopia pairing with 430?

I am finding it to be a sweet pairing

The 430 pairs well with the Utopia but truth is unlike the LCD-4 which needs tons of power to drive it the Utopia is a very efficient headphone that can be dirven by less powerful amps if need be

Surely though jibrach if the 430 can handle the Abyss and in some reports the HE-6, it can handle the LCD-4?

I haven't heard the pairing myself (LCD-4 and 430).....curious.

Yeah, that's why I'm not sure if I really need the 430 if I do end up getting the Utopia.

Yes,my point was that one needs the amp to fully appreciate the LCD-4 which is a power hog but not necessarily with the Utopia which is extremely efficient
