Hi everyone.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to remove the Chrome spokes, spraypaint them and them put them back on?
Also, is there a way to mod the headphones to make it sound better

I probably shouldn't have made a new thread just for this but I didn't want to hijack/necro the older HD438 threads.

Thanks in advance

The only ways you can mod sound, is to move the driver to a open can. There is no trick to just "tweak"
the the driver to work better.

Seeing it as a cheap headphone, the body won't come apart well. Take a screwdriver and try.

Oh, but you can mod these cans, albeit for more bass. They're built like the HD448 and HD428, which have three holes in the back of the driver casing. Once you take the cups apart, you can play around, covering the holes and checking out the results by ear. Also, you can spraypaint the outside of the cups if you want to, I know some head-fier did.

See here for opening your cans.

After reading through the guide and responses, I don't think I'm confident enough to mod the headphones on my own XD
But thanks for the info, I bookmarked it for future reference
