Yup, red is right all the time (if it isn't then somebody before you screwed up

). Another dumb point (which I find I have to be careful about): the two pin connectors to each Sennheiser phone side are of different diameters to maintain correct polarity. The difference is slight, but visible if you look for it. How much tightness in assembly is caused by trying to put the big pin in the little hole? Oops.

I talked to the guys at Zu... It looks like the red dot probably got painted on the wrong side. They are sending me a new one and I opted to go a little longer this time (3.5M). Until then I will enjoy the one I have. Adam and Nate at Zu were very helpful. I'm guessing that alot of specialty cable companies are used to dealing with audiophile types and will go the extra mile.
