I haven't seen too many new HDCD releases lately, but I got the new Laurie Anderson CD and am somehow disturbed by seeing "Microsoft" in tiny print above the HDCD symbol. How long before their CD's only play in Microsoft-compatible CD players? I know they've added HDCD support to Windows Media Player in XP, but I can't imagine many people have sound cards & speakers to make it worthwhile.
