I am thinking about HD800 at the moment. I just wondering anyone have HD800 can let me to have a mini audition in Melbourne? I will bring my T1 system (Dac1+SPL auditor ) with me.

Too bad you missed out on the last meet. There was a HD800, K1000 and Stax O2 there. Heard the HD800 with the SPL Auditor there and didn't like it, but I think I fell in love with the O2 there and was just addicted to its sound signature. As a result, all other headphones sounded poor in comparison (maybe minus K1000 ). I have heard T1 out of Auditor before as well. Would be great to compare my DT880 600ohm (soon to be TWcu recabled by qusp) to your T1 The K1000 I have right now are on long term loan by someone. They are in horrible condition (no joke. grilles cut where sound goes into ear, outer grilles have been taken out and I have had to just hold them on with sticky tape, don't want to use glue on someone elses headphones and the cable is like 2 inches of Valhalla coming from the driver then some longer 99.99% copper speaker wire sticky taped to that. didn't want to solder). People who see them will either laugh or be shocked to see K1000 in such poor condition

I'd love to have one in late dec or early-mid-Jan, but everyone would probably be away on holidays =(

If we get enough people interested, we could always have a mini-meet . (both Joe and Stang survived trading things with me, and Joe survived my house (although I doubt he'd want to drag his gear here again , but who knows)

I do believe I missed out the meeting I expected. K1000 is one of my must listen can. Hope I will get the chance very soon. BTW I will go for the DNA + HD800 combo later.
