If your HD800s are bass light then yes. There is a bit more bass on the "bass heavy" ones (hence the label), but of course it depends on how you angle the drivers from your ears.

I previously had a bass heavy and bass light pair of k1000 on loan; the bass heavy ones were much more musical, and to me, so much nicer.

Interesting!! So, the heavy bass ones, do you mean the lower s/n (i think it is lower than 1xxxx) and come in Black box?
 
My K1000 is 4xxx and i pretty sure it is the heavy bass version.

I have some classical music CDs and M4A format. And some vocal such as Il Divo.... I think we have a lot of music in the meeting
