hey guys, just wanted to share something i found on the net a long time back. http://www.meetup.com is a bunch of people that organize meetups for people w/ similar interets. i found out they do meetups for people into hifi so i thought id post the site here.

My city is listed but when they only have 83 users listed world wide, I kind of wonder about the attendance rate.. Probably nice idea none the less.

exactly my point. i figure since they only have 83 people worldwide most of the people here dont know about it/arent signed up. mebbe we should all sign up?

then again, at the time of original posting i didnt realize we had a meetup section. HAR.

edit: come to think of it, the least we could do by signed up would be to let those 83 people that might not know about head-fi learn about us. but chances are something even cooler could/would happen.

I'd mostly take meets as a place to listen to other gear. Not as good to form opinions based on just what others say they sound like...
