....they are, indeed, in stock and ready to ship!
I questioned them about their return policy too. On the surface it appeared to exclude audio/video equipment by indicating "all sales are final" and must be returned to the manufacturer. However, they told me that only applied to amplifiers and such and that headphones could, in fact, be returned if damaged or missing items. They appear to be ligit and the price is great! If I'd only waited....but then I wouldn't be enjoying them right now

I just called Sony and the list on the SA5000s is $700. So that is like a 45% discount. Thats a great price as dealer cost can't be much better.

Well the list on CD3k's was $699 too, if I'm not mistaken...they were easily had for around a little over 1/2 price....

HAHA. Amazon.com calls them "Sony MDR-SA5000 DJ Stereo Headphones." Good luck DJing without isolation!

The early adopters knew that this might occur, but chose to forge ahead and pay a small fee for the sneak preview - perhaps to them it was worth it.

It still sucks ass
I was so P.Od this morning that I hit the gym with a vengeance
I knew it would be cheaper but not SO MUCH cheaper. This has virtually locked me in with the SA5K for long term. No way I will take a $300.00 loss by selling now
