Stockholm DAC is a successor model of the successful Havana series DAC.

It is capable of up to 24bits/192kHz digital signal inputs yet remains driving
legendary PCM56P R-2R digital to analog output.

Stockholm DAC is a non over-sampling and no digital filter DAC.
To maximize the performance of PCM56P R-2R dac chip, the Stockholm is
designed to be an asynchronous operation between digital receiver and
PCM56P chip.

  1. Right Channel Analog Output – Connect to Pre-Amplifier or Receiver’s line
        input
  1. Left Channel Analog Output – Connect to Pre-Amplifier or Receiver’s line
        input

Sounds awesome. I'll most likely have to get one. So, they didn't include the tube buffer in this, huh?

Yes it does come with the same tube configuration as the standard Havana.

Tubes can be used: 5670, 2C51, 396A, 6385, 6386, 6CC42, 6854, 6N3,
CV2575, CV4013, CV5894, CV8247, CV2381

From what I understand is that they go on sale today!

No 6+ months of hype and putting people on hold like some manufacturers....

I agree. They just make good stuff and people buy it. There website is classic. Just bare bones info. No flashy ads or copy writing. Awesome bunch of folk.

I won't be buying it any time soon but be sure to  write up a good impressions post once and if you get one.

Only $174 more than the standard Havana....which coincidentally happens to be the exact price for their Asynch USB/Bridge.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

With the added bonus of BNC in and a Silver Mica cap instead of the regular cap for better sonic performance.

Another well known manufacturer charged almost $500 more for adding Asynch USB to their Dac.  Still others are still working on it.....[I won't mention any names]

That's not necessarily a bad thing.  If I had known this was coming out I might have waited a bit (RE: my most recent acquisition)  The Havana, Rega, and Audio-GD r2r reference series DACs are all units I came close to pulling the trigger on many times.  My first NOS DAC was one of MHDTs first offerings.

That's the new optical USB.

Silver-plated USB cables are silly anyway.
