I am considering purchasing the Mav Audio Tubemagic A1 with the Raytheon 6AK5 preinstalled tubes for use with my AKG K702 Annies, the K240s, and potentially the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pros. The K702s aren't a problem for me, but on my Fiio amp, there is no reduction in the treble spike on the K240s and Beyerdynamics. Is the Tubemagic A1 a good inexpensive tube amp to soften the treble spike?

Two things:

You don't need a new amp to tame the treble.  If the treble is troubling to you, then you need different headphones.

Don't buy anything Maverick.  It's all junk, sketchy, and has horrible customer service.  Learn from my mistake.  Ryan from Maverick really screwed me over.
