Is there any plugins or any single piece of software that will allow me to take my library, compress it to 256 AAC or MP3 and put it on my iPod? I value quantity over quality with my iPod and this would really allow me to take my library on the go.

thanks!

iTunes does this quite easily; set your encoding preference, then select "all" the songs you want to convert in the iTunes browser and you can do it with a right-click command, and there's also a menu pull-down I believe.

You may want to give Doug's Lossless to AAC Workflow a try.
I have used it with great luck in the past.

Exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks!
